Restaurant Week Vegan Options

We love restaurant week and are extremely thankful MSP Magazine has made it a simple task to locate restaurants featuring vegan menu items.

Vegan East Lyndale Location

http://www.veganeast.com/

Let’s give Vegan East a round of applause for opening their 2nd location in South Minneapolis. They have everything from cupcakes to quiche. Gluten-free options are also available.

I don’t think you’ll find a better vegan cupcake anywhere close to how phenomenally moist these are.

Trio Plant Based

https://www.trioplantbased.com/

Trio is a 100% plant-based eatery located 610 W. Lake Street. The mission behind the restaurant is outstanding. Click on the link to learn more.

I was elated to try the Soul Food Platter that was floating around social media. Of course I ordered EVERYTHING on the platter. Greens, Mac and Cheese, Cornbread with Maple Butter, Sweet Potatoes and The Herbivorous Butcher Smoky House Ribs.

Every bite complimented the next bite. The Greens and Cornbread were my favorite.

For dessert I had the scrumptious Harriet’s Escape Peach Cobbler.

Overall, the food is really good but the menu items are a bit overpriced.

I will definitely return and continue to support their mission.

Seed Cafe

https://www.seedcafempls.com/

After following them for months on Instagram, Seed Cafe is officially open next door to Moda Yoga studio across from Whole Foods by Bde Maka Ska.

Everyone in the restaurant were so nice and helpful. The cashier suggested the Kale Ceasar Salad and Chickpea Toast.

I was blown away at the how the Chickpea Toast mimicked a tuna sandwich. It was soooooooo good. I mean really really good. Great job on creating a stellar sandwich.

The Kale Ceasar was a bit overpriced for a salad but the dressing, capers and home made croutons gave it a nice touch.

There were so many other items on the menu that seemed as if they would be just as tasty.

Looking forward to trying a few more next time.
