There’s nothing low-key about Hai Hai, although it is nestled in a little area in Northeast Mpls that I rarely frequent.
Walking in was reminiscent of a restaurant featured in a travel magazine. A place I’m pretty sure was so eye catching that I folded the page for quick and easy reference.
I immediately scoured the menu for vegan options and asked a few questions before confirming my order.
“I’ll have the fried potatoes and the Balinese cauliflower.”
Bold flavors, amazing textures, pungent and fresh herbs happily satisfied my pallet. My mouth was doing a happy dance and I swear they were playing trap music 👌🏽.
